Labour Regulation in Small and Medium Enterprises (RegSMEs) is an Italian research project which aims at improving our understanding of how labour is regulated within small firms in Italy, with parallel exploration of the situation of other European countries. By putting together two different strands of literature, the project will examine how both economic and social/institutional factors affect labour regulation within small firms. The purpose will be to examine the implications with regard to economic competitiveness and social sustainability, also in light of the recommendations of the EU2020 strategy and the priorities of the Horizon 2020 programme.

RegSMEs is funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research within the realm of Projects of National Interest (PRIN).
